Between Alarm and Ease - From Emergency to Everyday
A Civic Landscape in Motion and Rest

For a fire brigade, a fire station is not only an office but also a training and living space where they can build up their bodies and foster their team spirit. As a living space and office, this service institution should meet the needs of firefighters in both an emergency situation and a peaceful resting place at the same time. To integrate the urban context, the climax in the building symbolizing the speed is shown on the intersection of two main roads, corresponding to the functions of lockers and the garage. On the other hand, the lowness of the speed is presented as a relatively peaceful resting place, such as a lounge or office.

Supporting the building, the RC boarding structure in the middle is the main structural system. 
The Vierendeel truss is a cantilever structure that serves as the dormitory on level 2, which crosses above the garage in the west. 
Steel truss across the basketball court to meet the need of a spacious and big-span interior space. CLT roof plates are the façade of the whole building and the structural support of the basketball court.



A mild slope in the park gives trainers a better and more challenging jogging track and also a playful area for kids. Indicating the CLT roof/façade and wood benches in a different height array in order on the mild slope, which people can adapt to every posture.
